The day after Thanksgiving brings shopping and our annual Christmas Tree. We combed the town for the perfect (yet affordable) tree and finally settled on a grand fir. We tied it to the top of the mini van and hauled it home. We trimmed up the trunk and put it in water. We let it stand over night to let the branches fall to a normal position; then the fun began. Mom hung the lights and garland, then the kids had a great time hanging all of the rest of the decorations. It turned out beautifully, with Mom helping to balance decorations so that one popular branch didn't hang all the way to the floor, loaded with bulbs!
