FACEBOOK IS COOL!

I took a suggestion from Kevin and created a profile on Facebook to keep up with my 5 youngest siblings. I was asking them to start blogs where they could post their pics and we could keep up, but several of them didn't want to. Kevin suggested that we all get Facebook accounts instead. So Russ and I got accounts, too. I only added my family as friends at first, but I kept getting requests from people from high school. I held out for a while, then figured, "what the heck!" If they are making requests, maybe I should give it a try. It's been a lot of fun! Very unexpected. I've had some fun chats with classmates and others, too.
A classmate asked for photos from high school for another website, so I started digging around in the garage. I discovered part of myself, too. The photos are really fun, but my journals are even better! Reliving some of the memories is helping me to remember how to be carefree and fun-loving. I've laughed more lately than I have for a long time--and not just at the memories. I find more humor in every day things. My attitude got a lift, and I can't help but have FUN! I had become such a serious person much of the time, and hadn't realized how much I missed the old me: the bubbly, perky, lively, playful, vivacious, "blondish", animated and energetic girl that bounced from one activity to the next. Looking back and reconnecting has helped to bring some of this back to my life, and I'm excited about it. I've posted a lot of the photos I found on facebook, and you can find them there if you would like to have a good laugh, too.

My old cheerleading buddy just posted a link to this article--it is hilarious. Check it out if you haven't already. You'll have to copy and paste the URL into the address bar.
