It's Eric's favorite time of year again . . . HUNTING SEASON!
OK, so I enjoy the time when he is off doing what he loves best, and I can relax at home with the kids (if I can't manage to farm them out to their friends' houses).Hehe!
Anyway, this last Saturday, Eric took a day trip to Dillon with some friends and got this beauty at 600 yards away!
The animal is at the butcher's now, awaiting being made into snack sticks for the family to eat. (If you've had antelope before you know that it is best to spice them up good so you don't taste the wildness.)
And Edwin eats wild meat continually . . . all day long. I'm really not exaggerating . . . I put homemade jerky in his lunch for preschool and he gnaws on a piece at a time all day.
I gave up on sandwiches weeks ago (he never touched them anyway). This boy has jerky and smoked salmon for lunch. And he can't wait to have snack sticks to add to his menu! (Oh, and I do balance this out with a fruit cup, Gogurt, cheese stick, and "juice".)
